In terms of other integrations, Intuit QuickBooks has a marketplace, but it’s unclear which third-party integrations are compatible with the POS system. If you have a specific integration in mind, it’s best to consult with Intuit QuickBooks before purchasing its POS software.

In terms of add-ons, you can provide gift cards to customers if you purchase a gift card add-on from Intuit QuickBooks POS. It’s important to note that this does cost extra money.

Payment Processing

While Intuit QuickBooks POS offers payment processor integration, you’ll have to sign up with the company as your merchant account service provider to take advantage of this feature. You can choose between ‘Pay as You Go’ (higher percentage fees) and ‘Low Monthly Rates’ (lower fees in exchange for a monthly charge).

Swipe fees range from 2.7% to 2.3% + 25c. You can also ask Intuit for a custom plan if you experience a large transaction volume.

On the other hand, Intuit QuickBooks POS does come with high upfront costs and lacks in-house eCommerce features. If you’re planning on expanding online, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
