How to Fix Toast Tablet Not Syncing
1. Confirm the Tablet Is on the Correct Wi-Fi Network
All Toast devices must be on the same secured network to sync properly. Guest networks break syncing.
- Swipe down → open Wi-Fi settings
- Connect to your secure business network
- Forget guest networks completely
- Reconnect and check syncing again
2. Restart the Toast Tablet
A quick restart fixes most sync failures caused by app glitches or background processes.
- Hold power button → choose Restart
- After reboot, reopen Toast POS
- Check if orders sync across devices

3. Check If Other Toast Devices Are Offline

4. Restart Your Router & Access Points

- Restart the router
- Restart access points
- Wait 1–2 minutes for full reboot
- Reconnect Toast devices
5. Update the Toast POS App
Outdated versions can cause delayed syncing and broken communication between stations.
- Restart the device
- Open the device app manager
- Search Toast POS
- Tap Update if available
6. Move the Tablet Closer to Your Router
Walls, freezers, metal, and distance all weaken Toast’s Wi-Fi performance.
- Move within 10–20 feet of the router/AP
- Avoid metal counters or equipment
- Ensure access points cover the full service area
7. Clear Toast App Cache (If Supported)
This helps if the app is glitchy or slow to update.
- Settings → Apps

Do NOT clear “App Data” unless Toast support instructs you to, as it resets local settings.
